Thence south 11/4 miles to the S. E. corner of Block 112, T. C. Ry.
Co. Thence west 4 miles to its S. W. corner. Thence north 41/2
miles to the south line of Block 8, H  provided that immediately upon the
taking effect of this Act the county judge and ex officio county
superintendent of Pecos County shall appoint seven persons possessing
the foregoing qualifications, who shall serve as trustees for said
district until the next regular trustee election in 1924, at which time
a board of seven trustees shall be elected, whose terms of office
thereafter, and the election of whose successors, shall be in acccrdance
with the General Laws of the State; provided further that the
seven trustees elected at the regular trustee election in 1924 shall
determine among themselves which shall serve until the regular
trustee election in 1925, and which shall serve until the regular
trustee election in 1926.
SEC. 3. That all funds held by the Buena Vista Independent
School District and all taxes due said district at the time this Act
takes effect shall be equally divided between said Buena Vista Independent
School District and Imperial Independent School District
herein created.
SEa. 4. The condition of the public free schools within the territory
to be included within said independent school district and the
fact that the people residing therein are in need of adequate school
facilities, create an emergency and an imperative public necessity
that the constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
days be suspended, and the same is hereby suspended, and that this
Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and
it is so enacted.
