Kendrick Frazer II
Masonic graveside services for
Kendrick Frazer II, 82, of Rusk
were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar
Hill Cemetery with Euclid Masonic
Lodge No. 45 of Rusk in charge.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home
of Rusk was in charge of arrange-
ments.
Mr. Frazer died Monday in a Rusk
nursing home after a lengthy ill-
ness. He was born July 25,1907, in
Texarkana and was a lifelong Rusk
resident. He was a Methodist and a
member of Euclid Masonic Lodge
No. 45 of Rusk for 35 years.
In his early life, he was a musi-
cian and later an accountant work-
ing in banking and later as Rusk
City Secretary until his retirement
in 1970. After retirement, he man-
aged Frazer Bros. Cattle Ranch at
Rusk.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Marie
Frazer of Rusk; two son s a nd da ugh-
ters-in-law, Ike and Arlene Frazer
and Ron and Judy Frazer, all of
Reklaw; two grandsons; two grand-
daughters; a great-granddaughter;
two nieces and a nephew.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill
Braswell and other friends and
neighbors.
Thomas Perdue Sr.
Services for Thomas Alvin Per-
due Sr., 76, of Alto was at 3 p.m.
Tuesday in the O.T. Allen & Son
Funeral Home Chapel at Alto with
the Rev. Bill Morgan officiating.
Burial was in Alto City Cemetery.
Mr. Perdue died Monday in a
Jacksonville hospital following a
lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 11, 1913, in
Hamburg, Ark. and had lived at
Alto since 1951. He served in World
War II as a U.S. Army corporal and
was a retired rancher and timber-
man.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. He-
len Perdue of Alto; a son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Tommy and Charlotte
Perdue of Alto; a brother, Henry
Perdue of Bastrop, La.; a brother
and sister-in-law, Wyatt and Essie
Perdue of Beekman, La.; and a
granddaughter, Amanda Perdue of
Alto.
Pallbearers were Billy Grimes,
Hugh McKean, Billy Brooks, Roy
Molandes, Charles Schafiett and
Dan Schochler.
J. Herndon Trible
Funeral for J. Herndon Trible,
84, of Magnolia, was at 2 p.m. Sat-
urday in the Wallace-Thompson
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
Jim Boone officiating. Burial was in
Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr.Tribledied
Thursday at his Magnolia home
after a lengthy illness.
He was a 53 year resident of Rusk,
owning and operating the Trible
Motor Co. in Rusk, as well as the
Cherokee Theatre for eight years.
Bom Dec. 4, 1905, in Palestine, he
had lived at Magnolia for 12 years
before his death. He had spent the
majority of his life in Cherokee
County. He moved to Houston in
1954 and retired from Highams
Motor Co. in Houston in 1974. He
was a member of the Rusk First
Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are his wife, Billie Cook
Trible of Magnolia; a son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Gary Herndon and Rose
Ann Trible of Conroe; two daugh-
ters, Vickie and Willie Payne of
Galveston and Gloria Bixler of
Houston; eight grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jack L. Cook
Sr., Clifton Hudson, David Thoma-
son, Patt D. Cook III, Doug Free-
man and Morris Hassell.
Clifton M. Taylor
Services for Clifton M. Taylor, 75,
of Maydelle were at 10 a.m. Satur-
day in the Thompson Funeral Home
Chapel, Jacksonville, with the Rev.
Randy Miguez officiating. Burial
was in the Mount Comfort Ceme-
tery.
Mr. Taylor died Thursday morn-
ing in a Jacksonville hospital fol-
lowing an extended illness.
Alifelongresidentofthe Maydelle
area, he was a retired foreman with
Wynnewood Products. He was a
veteran of World War II and a
member of the*Antioch United
Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs.
Gwendolyn Taylor of Maydelle; a
son and daughter-in-law, Tim and
Barbara Taylor of Tyler, two broth-
ers, Raymond Taylor and James
Taylor of Jacksonville; a sister, Mrs.
Joyce Smith of Jacksonville; three
grandchildren, Mathew Taylor,
Travis Evans and Laura Evans of
Tyler and several nieces and neph-
ews.
Pallbearers were David Roach,
Jason Roach, Vernon Thompson,
Rayford Smith, Glenn Taylor, Dale
Hartsfield, Billy Sherman and
Donnie Crawford.

Funeral for K J. Patton, 67, of
Alto, was at 2 p.m. Sunday in the
Stonewall Baptist Church, Douglass
with the Rev. Wilbert Dean officiat-
ing. Burial was in the Stonewall
Cemetery under the direction of O.T.
Allen & Son Funeral Home at Alto.
Mr. Patton died Thursday at his
home after a sudden illness. He was

was a U.S. Army veteran and a
member and deacon of the Stone-
wall Baptist Church, Douglass. He
retired after 10 years as janitor for
the Alto High School.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs.
Dorothy Patton of Alto; his mother,
Fanny Stafford of Tyler; three sons,
Willie Edwards of Chicago, Don
Burleson of Houston and Marcus
Patton of Jacksonville; three daugh-
ters, Albertine Edwards and Bar-
bara Edwards, both of Mexia and
Georgia Pate of Houston; a brother,
Mack Garrett of Jacksonville and
six sisters, Willie Mae Garrett of
Dallas, Ruthie Ward, Verdie Lee
Ward and Ethyl Finley, all of Tyler,
Naomi Moore of Nacogdoches and
Corine Johnson of Houston.
Roy Glenn Blackwell
Funeral for Roy Glenn Blackwell,
71, of Coleman, formerly of Rusk
was at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ste-
vens Funeral Home Chapel at Cole-
man with Roy Blackwell officiating.
Burial followed in the Rockwood
Cemetery. Mr. Blackwell died at
7:15 p.m. Saturday in the Overall-
Morris Memorial Hospital at Cole-
man.
Mr. Blackwell was born May 21,
1918, at Rockwood. He graduated
from Rockwood High School and at-
tended Texas Tech.He was World
War II veteran, serving in the 36th
Division of the U.S. Army. He was a
Rusk resident from 1975-79, mov-
ing to Coleman in 1979. He was a
retired plant engineer for Rusk State
Hospital He was a member of the
Church of Christ and a Disabled
American Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Vida
Blackwell of Coleman; three sons,
Bobby Blackwell of New Braunsfel,
Roy Blackwell of Burleson, Bernie
Blackwell of Lubbock; one daugh-
ter, Linda McKnight of Abilene; &
sister, Doris Caudle of Stephen ville
and seven grandchildren.

Funeral for C. D. (Dalton) Meador,
82, of Gallatin was at 4 p.m. Thurs-
day in the Thompson Funeral Home
Chapel at Jacksonville with Otis
Daniel and the Rev. Warren White
officiating. Burial was in Henry's
Cemetery at Gallatin.
Mr. Meador died Feb. 6 in a
Jacksonville hospital after an ex-
tended illness. He was born April
26,1907, in the Corinth community
and was a lifelong Cherokee County
resident. He was a farmer, a retired
Rusk State Hospital employee ánd
a member of the Gallatin CJhurch of
Christ.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Irene
Meador of Gallatin; four sons and
daughters-in-law, Kenneth Neal
and Jean Meador of Angleton,
Charles Donald and Joann Meador
of Tomball, Jerry Max and Joy
Meader of Gilmer and Kit Calvin
and Diana Meador of Longview; a
son, Forrest Glen Meador of
Longview; four sisters, Leveta Bogle
of Dallas, Johnie White and Shirley
Pond, both of Jacksonville and Marie
Ozment of Fort Worth; 17 grand-
children; 14 great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Denny Meador,
Kenny Meador, Gary Meador,
Randy Meador, Scotty Meador, Mike
Meador, Justin Meador and Joe
Montgomery.
Honorary pallbearers were Ste-
ven Meador, Fred Thompson,
Rupert Pollard, Farris Jenkins, Billy
RobbinB, Tim Myers, Chuck Shaw,
Mark Loftis, Bubba Hataway,
JamesEdward Hataway and James
Forrest Pollard.

Funeral for Claude L. Manning,
91, of Rusk was at 2 p.m. Sunday in
the Wallace-Thompson Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. James
Goforth and the Rev. Grover Tal-
bert officiating. Burial was in Cedar
Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Manning died Friday in a
Rusk nursing home after a lengthy
illness.
He was born Aug. 13, 1898, at
Rusk and was a lifelong resident.
He attended Rusk public schools,
Rusk College and Southwestern
University. He served in the post
office 42 years and was a tax con-
sultant.
He was a charter member of the
Rusk KiwaniB Club, past grand
master of Euclid Masonic Lodge No.
45, a Shriner and member of Sharon
Temple in Tyler. He performed many
civic dutieB including serving with
the city council many years.
He was preceded in death by a
son, Philip Manning Sr., in 1983.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs.
Hughlamae Manning of Rusk; a son,
Victor Manning Sr. of Houston; and
four grandchildren, Allen Manning
of San Marcus, Victor Manning Jr.
of San Jose, Calif., Philip Manning
and Meredith Manning, both of
Austin.
Pallbearers were Frank Madden,
Mike Crysup, Raymond Magruder,
Philip Manning Jr., Allen Man-
ning, Judge Morris Hassell, Judge
J. W. Summers, Jim Perkins.
Honorary pallbearers were mem-
bers of the Brotherhood Sunday
School Class of First Baptist Church
and Louis Nelms and Bill Vining.
