lace-Thompson Funeral Home

and Cliff Lasiter officiating.
Burial Was in Pleasant Grove
Cemetery.
Mr. Kenyon died Sept. 11 at
his home. He was born May
7, 1926, in Willow, Okla. to
Jim Franklin and Bulah Ann
RuthRock Kenyon. He retired
from the Texas Forest Service
after 13 years as a forester. He
had been a resident of Maydelle
since 1961. He servedintheU.S.
Army during World War II in the
Philippines and was awarded
two bronze stars and a purple
heart. He had been a Maydelle
Assembly of God Church board
member for 27 years and served
on the Maydelle school board for
eight years. He was a member of
the Tales Creek Hunting Club.
Preceding him in death were
hisfather and mother, two sisters
and a daughter, Pam Mainer.
Survivors are his wife, of 58
years Faye Kenyon of Maydelle;
two daughters and a son-in-law,

Mrs. Dunsmore died Friday
in Jacksonville. She was born
July 10, 1926, in Maydelle to
Lee and Mattie Landrum Ben-
nett. She lived most of her life
in Alto. She was a Methodist
and a homemaker. Preceding
her in death were her brothers,
Horace, Lowell, Truman and
Herman Bennett and sisters.

Wood Jones, 86, of Tyler, was at 2
p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cem-
etery in Tyler with the Rev. Scott
Wiley officiating. Mrs. Jones died
Thursday. She was born May 4,
1920, in Dallas to Arthur Rogers
Wood and Florence Human
Wood. She attended Tyler Junior
College and Stephens College in
Columbia, Mo. She earned her
bachelor's degree from the Uni-
versity of Texas and returned to
Tyler to attend Tyler Commerce
College. Ycwirs later she received
her teaching certificate from
Stephen F. Austin State Teachers
College. She wasa Queen'sMaid,
a predecessor of today's Lady in
Waiting, in the 1938 Tyler Rose
Festival. She married Henry
Bernard Jones in 1944 and they
celebrated 54 years of marriage.
She worked for several years as
a secretary for an independen!
oil company and from 1973-90
worked in the trust department
of what is now Regions Bank in
Tyler. She was a charter member
of the Tyler Junior League and
a lifelong member of Tyler First
Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were
her parents; her husband; an
infant son, William Wood Jones;
her sister, Jean Wood Williams:

Smith. Survivors are two sons
and daughters-in-law, Henry
(Butch) and Carol Jones of Tyler;
and James and Debra Jones of
Dallas; a daughter and son-in-
law, Florence (Sissy) and Mike

children; and four great-grand-
