SEC 2 That the Fairview Common School District No 2, the
boundaries of which are the same as the boundaries set out above
is hereby divested of the control and management of all public
free schools within its limits insofar as said common school district
had control thereof, and the Fairview Independent School District
is hereby invested with sole and exclusive management and control
of all public schools within the limits and boundaries of said
district and herein defined, subject only to such control as the State
Superintendent of Education and the State Board of Education
mayv be vested with the general supervisory authority to instruct
said board.
SEC. 3, The manaiemncnt andc control of the public free schools
in the said Fairview Independent School District is hereby vested
in a board of' trustees which board shall be composed of seven persons,
resident citizens and qualified voters within said district, and
each memn!er of said board of trustees before entering upon discharge
of its duties shall take and subscribe the usual oath for the
faithful aid impartial discharge of the duties of its office.
SEC 4. The board of trustees of Fairview Independent School
District shall be a body politic ard corporate in law, and as such
may contract and be contracted with, sue and be sued, plead or be
impleacded in an
court of this State of proper jurisdiction, and
