2 Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; and
3 WHEREAS, Sergeant William Cody Eckhart was a brave ,and
4 courageous soldier who risked his life so that others could be free;
5 he was a devoted son and brother and a true American hero, and he
6 leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by those
7 whose lives he touched; now, therefore, be it
8 RESOLVED, That the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas,
9 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of William Cody
10 Eckhart and extend sincere condolences to his bereaved family: his
11 parents, Ronnie and Terri Eckhart; his sisters, Staci and Erin
12 Eckhart; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Eckhart; his maternal
13 grandparents, William and Roselyn White; and his many aunts,
14 uncles, and cousins; and, be it further
15 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for his
16 family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
17 Legislature, and that when the legislature adjourns this day, it do
18 so in memory of William Cody Eckhart.
