CREATING EASON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
IN DAWSON COUNTY.
H. B. No. 322.] CHAPTER 54.
An Act to create the Eason Independent School District in Dawson
County, Texas, out of territory now comprising Common School District
No. 6, of Dawson County, as heretofore created by the county
board of trustees therefor; vesting said independent school district
and board of trustees with all the rights, powers, privileges and duties
conferred upon independent school districts, incorporated under the
General Laws of Texas; providing that the said Eason Independent
School District shall assume and discharge any and all indebtedness
constituting valid and binding obligations of said Common School District
No. 6, of Dawson County; providing that title to any and all
property of said common school district shall be vested in the trustees
of independent school district hereby created; validating and continuing
in force any and all taxes heretofore voted and now in force in
such common school district; providing that the board of trustees of
the existing school in said district shall continue to act as such until
their successors are elected and qualified in accordance with the
General Laws of Texas, and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Eason Independent School District is
hereby created and established in Dawson County, Texas, including
within its limits and territory formerly known as Common
School District No. 6, in Dawson County, Texas, and described
by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at a point where the W. boundary line of Section
4, Block C41, Dawson County crosses the N. boundary line of
Dawson County; thence S. with W. boundary line of said Section
4 to S. W. corner of Section 4, Block C41; thence E. with
section lines to N. W. corner of Section No. 32, same Block;
thence S. with the W. boundary line of said Section No. 32, same
block and Sections Nos. 3-4-11 in Block 35T, 7 N., and Sections
Nos. 24-21-20 in Block No. 35 T. 6 N.; thence E. with S. boundary
line of Sections 20-19 Block No. 35 T. 6 N. and Sections 6
and 5 certificate 2/255, J. Poitevent Survey and Sections Nos.
4, 3, 2, J. Poitevent Survey; thence N. with E. boundary line
of said Section No. 2, Block No. 2, J. Poitevent Survey and Sections
101-106 in Block 34, T. 7 N. to N. E. corner of Section No.
106; thence W. with the N. boundary line of said Section No.
106, to the N. W. corner of said section; thence N. with the E.
boundary line of Section 12, same block to the N. E. corner of
Section No. 12; thence W. with the N. boundary line of said
Section No. 12 to the N. W. corner of said Section; thence N.
with E. boundary line of said Section. No. 108, same block to N.
E. corner of said Section; thence W. with the center point of
S. boundary line of Section No. 37, Block C41; thence in a N. W.
direction across said Section No. 37, to the S. E. corner of said
Section No. 70, Block 8, E. L. R. R. Ry. Co. Survey; thence W.
along N. boundary line of Sections Nos. 37, 361/2, 35 to the S. E.
corner of Section No. 3, Block H. E. L. thence
