SYNOPSIS
ACT ONE: The Interior of Roozee Cottage in the early afternoon.
The curtain rises on a merry group of children
who have gathered to celebrate Meena's tenth
birthday. They have brought gifts, and all join in
singing and dancing.
ACT TWO: Same as Act I (Sqme day--evering).
Friends are awaiting the return of Meena and her
mother. The four neighbor women have everything
ready, even to Holland rushs and lemonade. However,
there is foreboding in the air, and the women
conjure up ghosts and goblins who lurk in corners.
Tubby eats all the rusks, and his mother has trouble
in rescuing the birthday cake from his greedy fingers.
Meena and her mother arrive and are overcome
by the change in their home. This, together
with the arrival of an unexpected guest, make them
the gayest company of all in that old crazy, Lazy
Town.
