The wild man spoken of in the
Call as being in the Miller county
jail is a poor demented fellow
brought here from Boggy Arkan-
sas. He has spells and when out of
them is as rational as anyone. His
home is in Texas and his relatives
have started to Texas with him and
placed him in jail here until they
could arrange to accompany him.
Mr. Munson has hail water mains
completed to the Cotton Belt yards
and also to the site of the new com-
press building to supply water for
the engines and for other uses. The
Cotton Belt has already erected a
1 irge tank and the water can How
into it through a pipe from stand-
pipe pressure. The roads are
ail being supplied with water now
by the Texarkana Water Works
and the company reaps quite a rev-
enue from this source.
An advertisement in this issue
announces that the St. Agnes
Academy one of the oldest places
of learning in this city will open
again on September the 2nd. This
school ranks with the best schools
in the country and those who have
graduated there are holding lucra-
tive positions. All branches are
taught in this school such as
music art stenography and type
writing. There is no better school
in f his country and you need look
no further for a thorough training
school than this one offers. Read
the advertisement and inquire into
the methods employed at this place
of learning.
Charity J. Hansford of Para-
gould Arkansas is suing the Sher-
iff and his bondsmen for the killing
of her husband by the Sheriff’s
deputy W. C. Wilcockson. She asks

was arrested for misdemeanor and
broke away from the deputy who
shot at him four times killing him
