That Wave of Prosperity.
Texas is "not in it," but we were promised it and kinder looked for it and bought
accordingly, so we find ourselves badly overstocked for the present condition of af-
fairs, especially so in clothing, and, of course, you know there has been a big ad-
vance in these goods lately. Hut we bought our clothing in May, when prices were
the lowest we ever saw, and we have them marked in plain figures at a small mar-
gin of profit. You will never see prices as low again as long as Mr. McKinley is
President of these I'nited States.
