Description

Patent for a new and improved cotton planter. This design "consists in the combination, with the slotted hopper-bottom, of the hinged and curved cut-offs and their spring, whereby the escape of seed will be prevented, except as forced out by the prongs of the feed-wheel" (lines 19-23).
