The cotton market to-day wasfbito
buoyant. Though the receipt* were
only 715 Mee, the exports to Great
Britain reached 3156, leaving a stock
yet on hand of 61,978 bales. The
net receipts at all United States ports
thus far this season, apUedset night,
reached 37092^1 sga^tet 3,287,526

The sales in the Galveston market
were 1C94 bales, at unchanged prices.
New York market was also very
firm and sales were made of 23,200
bales.
. Liverftepl disposed of 10,000 bales,
1 6100 of wnich were American. The

The coflee market showed some
activity. Xfcere is a large stock on
the market, and prices, though stiff,
may %tany moment weaken.
Protfllons and groceries were not
much sought after yesterday. ,
There are some orders lining made
op in the country for labcrf-saving
implements, we learn by letter, but
there is a disposition to carry all such
orders to St. Louis, as the hardware
and agricultural men of this city
rarely advertise their -stocks, and
planters and country readers do not
know what they possess.
Everybody speaks favorably of the
spring trade. The cattle are now in
the bottoms, where they will remain
nntil driven out by the mosquitoes,
but they are healthy and fattened up.
Several new enterprises are on hand,
which will foster and' encourage the
trade, and we think next summer
Texas cattle will command improved
figures.
