Information Available: lhe 10 sections of the Texas
Register represent various facets of state government.
I)ocumcnts contained within them include:
Governor - Appoinlments. execui\e order. and
proclamations.
Attorney General - summanes of requests lir opin-
ions. opinions, and open records decisions.
Secretary o' State - opinions based on the election
laws.
Texas Ethics Commision - summaries of rquests
for opinions and opinions.
Emergency Sections - sections adopted by state
agencies on an emergency basis.
Proposed Sections - sections proposed for adop-
lion.
Withdrawn Sections - sections withdraan b) state
agencies from consideration for adoption, or automati-
cally withdrawn by the 'Ixas Register six months afler
the proposal publication date.
Adopted Sections - sections adopted following a
30-day public comment period.
Open Meetings - notices of open meetings.
In Addition - miscellaneous information required to

'I'h Texas Administrative Code (TAC) is the ollictal
compilation of ;dl linad slate agenc rules puhlibhed in
the Texas Register. I ollowng its cl'l ciete date. a rule
is entered into the Texas Administrative Code l:mer-
gency rules, which may be adopted by an agency on an
interim basis, are not codilied within the TAC. West
Publishing Company. the olficial publisher of the TAC.
releases cumulative supplements to each printed .ol-
ume of the TAC twice each >ear.

designated by a TAC number. For example in the

tion number of the rule (27 indicates that the section is
under Chapter 27 ol" littlee I; 15 represents the individ-
ual section within the chapter).
How to update: "To ind out if a rukle has changed since
the publication of the current supplement to the Texas
Administrative Code, please lomk at the Table of TAC
Titles Affected. h'l table is published cumulatively in
the bluc-coser quarterly indexes to the Texas Register
(January 22. April 16, July 13. and October 12. 1993).
In its second issue each month the: Texas Register
contains a cumulative Table of TAC Titles Afferted for
the preceding month. If a rule has changed during the
tIme perito covered by the table, the rule's TAC
number will he printed with one or more Texas
Register page numbers. ats shown in the I'ollow ing
