Bolivar, Sept 29th 1958

My dear Child,
I received your affectionate
letter last night, just ten days on the
way, & feel surprised to hear nothing
of the check I sent you. I hear you
may not receive it. Do write me
if you get it, immediately. I have also
adviced you about the articles I sent
you but have heard nothing from you
since. I sent you in the (?) plenty
of lady Peas. I will send the Ochard
seed by some other conveyance.
You never mention my letters. do you
receive them or not. Frank is delighted
at Lagrange, with the school & his
boarding house, & seems to have set in
for improvement. Ada Neilson is here
& Lou Neely & Becca staid here last
night. Ada says her Ma is well pleased
in Corrinth. Billy is clerking for Perry Polk.
No news since my last to you a few
days since. Write soon. You & Clara must
