The Hemphill County 4-H
Roundup was held at the Baker
School Activity Room Monday
evening, April 27th at 7 o'clock.
4-Hers who are planning to
compete at District Contests or
have already competed were
introduced. Several Method
Demonstrations were presented
for practice by the 4-Hers.
Representatives of the judging
teams and rifle teams described
their contests and told the group
what they did.
The 4-Hers and their demon-

ing: Daylin Hash, Danny John-
son, Justin Swires and Jim
Pryor; Junior Horse Judging:
Dana Johnson, Dayla Kay Hash,
Charlie Schaef, and Stacy Fiel;
Range Evaluation: Keith Mc-
Entire, Kayla McEntire. Bruce
Johnson and Van Morrow; Sen-
ior Rifle Team: Glen Woodside,
Larry Longhofer, Shannon Prat-
er and John Walser; and Junior
Rifle, Brad Rogers.
Following the program, the
youth and adults had refresh-
ments furnished by each family.
A short Adult Leader Associa-
tion meeting was held to elect
officers.
Five senior 4-Hers have al-
ready qualified for State Round-
up in June. The Sr. Horse
Judging team coached by Jim
and Davie Hash placed 2nd at
District. Glen Woodside quali-
fied also in the Rifle Contest,
placing second high individual
Woody and Gladene Woodside
were Coaches of the rifle teams.
