Notes

Lewis Randolph Bryan, Jr. (1892-1959) received his law degree from the University of Texas. After serving in WWI, he began a career in banking and became president of the Second National Bank in 1944. He was a director of Fort Worth and Denver Railway Company and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch. He was the president of the San Jacinto Museum of History Association and the Philosophical Society of Texas as well as trustee of the Texas Gulf Coast Historical Association. He married Katherine McGowen in 1924 and had two sons, Lewis Randolph Bryan, III and Stephen Fuller Austin Bryan.
