Bar Mitzvah
Omri Horowitz
Omri Horowitz, son of Etty and
Raanan Horowitz, will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Sat-
urday Oct. 29,2005 at the 9:30 a.m.
Shabbat Service at Congregation
Ahavath Sholom. Omri will partic-
ipate in the service with Rabbi
Baruch Zeilicovich and Ritual
Director Javier Smolarz. Omri is
an eighth-grade-student at Trinity
Valley School. He was born in
Grand Rapids, Mich, and moved to
Arlington a year later. His dream is
to become a professional actor.
Omri has played roles in several
theater productions at Theatre
Arlington where he has been
studying acting for the past five
years. Earlier this summer he trav-
eled as part of a Texas youth
delegation to Australia and New
Zealand with the People to People
Studen t Ambassador organization.
Omri enjoys the theater, soccer,
computer games, books, visiting
new places, and likes hanging out
with his friends.
Family and friends from Israel,
Washington, Michigan, Ohio, New
York and California, will join him
for this joyous simcha.

Nili Sweeney Steinberg
Rabbi Paul Steinberg and Mau-
reen Sweeney announce the birth of
their second daughter, Nili Sweeney
Steinberg, on Oct. 10, 2005 at the
Allen Birthing Center. Given the
Hebrew name of Nili bat Ha-Rav
Pinchas u'Miriyam, she weighed in
at 7 lbs. 11 1/2 ozs. and measured
19 3/4 inches. Nili was welcomed
home by her big sister, Rina 2 1/2.
Grandparent honors are shared by
Pat and Dr. Irwin Steinberg of
Chandler, Ariz., Melanie and Brian
Sweeney of Tucson, Ariz., and the
late Karyn Sweeney of Green Valley,
Ariz. Proud great-grandmother is
Mrs. Pearl Sender of Rocky River,
Ohio.
