ing fund for the payment of the principal thereof, as the same
matures; and in such cases, it shall not be necessary to submit
the question of the issuance of such funding or refunding bonds
to a vote of the people. The Commissioners Court is authorized
to issue such bonds in exchange for like amounts of the outstanding
scrip or warrants of said County as existed against
its Road and Bridge Fund on April 13, 1935. Said bonds, when
executed, shall be approved by the Attorney General and shall
be registered by the State Comptroller.
SEC. 2. That, whereas, on the 13th day of April, 1935, the
Commissioners Court of Lamb County, Texas, passed and
adopted its order giving notice of intention to fund or refund
items of indebtedness evidenced by scrip and time warrants outstanding
against the Road and Bridge Fund of said County, and
aggregating the principal sum of Seventy-three Thousand Dollars
($73,000), and which said order is duly recorded in the
Minutes of said Court; such warrants to be refunded by the
issuance of an equal amount of coupon bonds in lieu thereof; and,
whereas, thereafter, to-wit: on the 18th day of May, 1935, and
on the 9th day of September, 1935, the Commissioners Court of
said County passed and adopted orders authorizing the issuance
of said coupon bonds, for the purpose of refunding, cancelling
and in lieu of the said Seventy-three Thousand Dollars ($73,000)
warrants, and levied the tax to pay principal of and interest
on the said bonds, and which said orders are duly recorded in
the Minutes of said Court, it is further enacted that all actsand
proceedings had and done in connection with the authorization
and issuance of such scrip and/or time warrants by the
Commissioners Court of said County, and by any officer of said
County charged with the duty of executing and delivering such
scrip or warrants, the levy of taxes and/or appropriation of
other revenues for payment of such scrip or warrants, are
hereby ratified, confirmed, legalized, approved and validated, and
such items of indebtedness, described in the aforesaid orders of
the Commissioners Court authorizing the issuance of -the coupon
bonds in lieu thereof, are hereby legalized and validated, and constituted
the legal obligations of the Road and Bridge Fund of
said County.
SEC. 3. That the order of the Commissioners Court of April
13, 1935, giving notice of intention to issue coupon bonds in
lieu of Seventy-three Thousand Dollars ($73,000) warrants outstanding
against the Road and Bridge Fund of said County, is
hereby ratified, confirmed, legalized, approved and validated.
SEC. 4. That the order of the Commissioners Court of said
County passed and adopted on the 18th day of May, 1935, and
the order of said Court passed and adopted on the 9th day of
September, 1935, authorizing the issuance of said Seventy-three
Thousand Dollars ($73,000) Refunding Bonds, for the purpose
of refunding, cancelling and in lieu of an equal amount of warrant
debt against the Road and Bridge Fund of said County, and
