BAT MITZVAH
Alyse Haley Rosenblatt
On Shabbat, Feb. 13, 2010, Alyse Haley
Rosenblatt will be called to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah during the morning service at Con-
gregation Anshai Torah. Alyse is the daugh-
ter of Barbara and Les Rosenblatt, and big
sister of Julia, Greyson and Alexandra. She is
the granddaughter of Rhea Greyson and the
late Alexander Greyson and Ed Rosenblatt
and the late Doris Rosenblatt.
Alyse is an honor student at Renner Mid-
dle School. She studies voice and is a proud
member of the seventh-grade girls' audi-
tioned a cappella choir. She also enjoys dance
and hopes one day to be on the big stage! Al-
yse is an avid reader, and looks forward to
and enjoys her summers at the B'nai B'rith
Beber Camp in Mukwonago, Wis., where she
has made friends from all over the world.
For her mitzvah project, Alyse organized
and collected donations for the Collin County
Children's Advocacy Center. After she toured
the facility, the tragic stories of the abused
children of Collin County fueled
her passion to assist the Center and
the victims of child abuse in any
way she could. In working with the
volunteer coordinator at CCCAC,
a wish list was formed, and Alyse
set to work procuring donations.
The family is thankful to War-
ren Rubin for his support, patience
and expert tutoring that will cul-
minate in a meaningful weekend.
They are also grateful to Bob Wes-
tle and Rabbi Stefan Weinberg for
all of their teaching and support as
Alyse became ready to accept the
responsibilities of a Jewish adult.
The Rosenblatts are thrilled to
share this simcha with family and
friends from near and far. They
feel blessed to be part of the com-
mitted Jewish community of An-
shai Torah, and thank everyone for
welcoming them so graciously.
