Baptist Church
Sponsors Revival
Rev. Don Jopling of Fort
Worth will be the featured
speaker at First Baptist Church
in Rio Grande City for the
annual revival, February 2-9.
Services will be held each
Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00
p.m. Weekday services will be
at 7:15 a.m. and at 7:30 p.m.
Friends from other churches
are invited to attend and hear
Rev. Jopling preach each day.
For several years Rev. Don
Jopling was a coach in three
central Texas high schools.
Then he formed the Don Jopling
Evangelistic Association He
has led in over 150 revivials in
Southern Baptist Churches. In
each of the revivials he has seen
many people come to know
Christ as Lord of their lives.
The churches have been greatly
blessed as people came to have
a personal faith in Jesus. He
preaches a GREAT SAVIOUR
to one and all.
The late Rev Sam Cluck of
First Baptist Church, Hubbard,
Texas said of Don, "Don did a
fine job coaching here but his
ministry of evangelism is under
the anointing of the Spirit. We
are definitely having him back
soon."
MANY EPILEPTICS'
BODIES RESIST DRUGS
PORTLAND, Ore.
Thirty-five per cent of the na-
tion's epilepsy victims are "re-
sistant" to treatment, says D.
Richard Schmidt of New York
who spoke recently at a Port-
land epilepsy seminar.
He said many epileptics can-
not experience the "maximum"
benefits of existing drugs.
He added that heavy re-
search is being done to develop
drugs to help those hard-to-
treat patients
