School, was overall grand champion in the art
competition at the Starr County Youth Fair.

The youths of Starr County
demonstrated their talents at the
Youth Fair over the weekend, and
showed that art is one of their
stronger suits

honor of Overall Grand Champion,
and Maria Imeida Guerra earned
the status of overall grand champi-
on.
In the Oils Division, Anabel
Guerra was grand champion in Art
II, and Ma Imeida Guerra was
reserve champion. In Art i, Marty
Gonzalez was grand champion, and
Yolanda Garcia was reserve
champion. In Art III. Ben C'antu
£ -is grand champion, and Sophia
1 opez was reserve champion
In the Pencil Division, Sophia
Lopez was grand champion, and
Anabel Guerra was reserve cham-
pion In Watercolor Cesar Lopez
was both grand champion and

In Career Vocational Education,
Reynaldo Sepulveda won grand
champion honors with his gun
cabinet. Juan Jose Martinez won

Starr County Science Fair Satur-
day,
Judges from Pan American Uni-
versity, and Mission Memorial
Hospital, and Rio Grande City Soil
Conservation Service, judged 168
projects exhibited by students from
Roma Junior High, Rio Grande
City High School, and Ringgold Jr.
