The difference between ■

thinks the other fa having ail
the fun in life. 1 beard the old
man get off a new one the oth-
er day. He said, "Children are
the coupons clipped from the
bonds of matrimony!" Did yoki
ever stop to think tqat the mer-
chants, the statesmen and the
failures of the future are to be
found among the office boys and
school boys of today? A poor
kid who has to work daytimes
and go to night school has just
BJt good a chance to be Presi-
dent as the fellow whose dad
buys automobiles and yachts
and things for him. I have no'
ambition to be President. I'd
rrfther be like the old man and
have a big store. The trouble
with starting a store myself, it
takes years and years to build
up a big business, and then you
have to be bo careful to buy
only the most reliable goods.
Everybody knows wo sell the
best and are sure to get a
square deal when you come
here. „

GARMENTS OP LEATHER.
Are Now the Vogue Among Fashion-
able English Women.
New York. Oct. 16.—London ad-
vices say fashionable women, espec-
ially the devotees of outdoor sports,
are having many of their garments
made of leather. Smart rod leather
golfing coata, striped with black, are
among the latest developments. They
are worn with red leather motor caps,
fixed with leather headed hatpins.
Leather motoring coats, lined with
fur, are In great demand. Narrow,
pliable leather neck ties and leather
straps for trimming felt hats are
among the numaroua other leather ar-
ticles demanded.
Rlatori'a Fortune Dissipated.

Rome published here today say Ade-
laide Rlstori, Countess Del Orillo,
who died Oct. 9, is found to have left
comparatively little money, owing to
mismanagement Of her affairs after
the death of her husband. Nothing
remains of her ones large fortune
save some souvenirs. |jm4uJ
FALL AND WINTER STYLES
Yon see here an illustration
ol one of
Boyd's Suits
Which is hilly as food looking
in the back as it is in the
front, and will look well on
you. It's all wool and correct
in style, fit, tailoring and
price. It's a suit for smart
dressers. You can choose
from a score of styles and fab-
rics. Maybe you don't object
to having your clothes made
of cotton-mixed fabrics; pos-
sibly oou think "a little cotton
will do no harm." Of course
you object to paying for a lit-
tle cotton when you ge! half
cotton. That's the trouble
with adulteration in clothes.
There's not one fibre of cotton
In Boyd's clothing. They are
all wool and no fraud or
deception about them.
SI5.00 to $30.00
In our hat department we have all the latest Fall and Winter
styles. Your site is here.
