Misses Shepherd and Warren of Strawn were visitors in
Thurber Saturday and Sunday.
The Knights of Pythias ball for next Monday night, the 19th,
promises to be the event of the season.
Misses Gracie Jamieson, Vada Turvin and Mr. W. P. Thomp-
son of Gordon visited friends here last Sunday.
Negatives made during cloudy weather as well as clear at
Leffler's. He is to be here only a few days longer.
The genial Sol Slaughter was a visitor in Thurber last Satur-
day. He was talking 'lection in his friends' behalf.
Leffler's work advertises itself. He simply wants to impress
upon you that he will only be here a few days longer.
The Black Crook Company played to and delighted a large
audience at the Opera House Friday night of last week.
Mrs. J. E. Keller and Miss Francis Keller of Frankfort, Ken-
tucky, mother ane sister of Dr. and Owen Keller, are visitors in
Thurber.
The Market department now makes a specialty of dressed
chickens. Mr. Back and Mr. Baer dresses them, and select only
the choicest fowls.
Mr. Back wants to buy all the hogs that are for sale in this
and adjoining counties. He will pay the highest market price in
"long green" or free silver.
Leffler, the photographer, is not going to remain in camp a
very great while. You should not delay visiting his studio un-
til the last moment. Go now.
Mr. Jim Jarrott, one of Stephenville's leading merchants, was
in Thurber last Saturday. Mr. Jarrott is quite at home in this
camp, and his friends are always glad to see him.
Dr. T. F. Namly is now at Hotel Knox. If your teeth need
attention you should call at once, as he will only be in camp a
very short while. First-class, guaranteed work. Prices easy.
