Resolution for
Sis. Clemmie Johnson-Rodgers
February 6, 1988
Whereas, the Lord has called bo an end the earthly
pilgrimage of our dear sister, Clemmie Johnson-Rodgers on
January 29, 1988, and
Whereas, it is within the scope of God's authority and
purpose, that all men must heed the summons of death, to cross
the threshold to eternity,
We, the members and pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church,
bow in humble subnission to God's will, For, we find in the
Word of God, that, in Adam, all msst die, but in Jesus Christ,,
we will find eternal life, all those who believe in His name.
v We are consoled by the fact that our sister did believe,
and accepted the way of Christ. Sis. Rodgers became a member of
this church on October 13, 1969. To know her was to love her.
After a period of absence, she felt the need to re-unite with
the church on February 17, 1985. When she became!ill, she seemed
happy when the church members visited with her in the hospital,
and expressed her faith in God.

Therefore, be it resolved: (1) We assure the family of the
deceased that they haae our lasting heartfelt sympathy; (2) We
strive to continue in the faith, so that when our time shall come,
we shall meet in that happy place that Christ has prepared for all
who love Him; and (3) That a copy of this resolution shall be
placed in the church files in memory of our sister.
Respectfully submitted.
