women to improve their sewing.
Mrs. Copeland kept a leeord of

i In addition to teaching im
moved methods of sewing, the
! leaders helped the women to
umplify and shorten sewing
jobs. Mrs. Copelanil says she
mlded a number of sewing helps,
such as a sleeve hoard, equip
ment to make sewing more ac
curat and easier, and as-emb-
iir jt ali sewing and pressing
<M]Uipment in one center.

community program for some
time near the middle of Jan

be an amateur program, Bake

Forty-three men, women and
children who were guests of the
Cedar Creek Home Demonstra
tion Club last Saturday night
were among the luckiest of peo-
ple. It was their annual Hallo-
ween event which is always one
of the models in community wide
get-to gethers in Cedar Creek,
or anywhere.
The pot luck supper would
have made a caterer jealous.
Halloween decoration* and cos
tiiines set •he spirit for the even-
ing The wholesome enjoyment
of neighbors leisurely visiting
while they enioyed the meat
was something many communi
ties are missing.
Following supper, Halloween
ghosts appeared in reality. The
stunt which would take the prize
in any Halloween gathering was
the trip through the morgue to
"see the man who had been
mangled on the highway".
Eggs Cood Ituy Now
Egg.-, are usually high at
this time of year, but right
it seenis to be different. FoaA
.shoppers will find that large
eggs are no higher than six
months ago. Medium and smril
eggs are attractively priced.
Mae Hell Smith, specialist
in consumer education, saya
eggs are a good choice for any
meal, and now is an opportunity
to see that each member of
the family gets at least on
egg each day.
