that C W. Kunath, Jr., of Smith-
vilb has volunteered his ser-
vice a general chairman of the
li'fil Christmas Seal Campaign.
His appointment was made of-
ficial by Mrs. James Hampton,
president of the Bastrop County
Tubercul -is Association, who ex-
pres-ed her gratitude and appre-
ciation of the task taken over
by Mr. Kunath.
Bastrop County has already
received it allotment of cam-
paign material, Mr- lva Nau-
uiati, executive seen tary, said,
and an ea l\ start of prepara
tions for mailing is assured.

Hold Open House

the first anniversary of the
Golden Age Home with an Open
House to be held at the Home,
i Fockhart. Texas, from two to
! five o'clock, on Sunday after-
noon, November 12.
Mrs. Raymond Todd and Mrs.
John Moss, members of Tarry

are in charge of general arrange-

in this significant project for
the retired person in Texas. As-
sisting Mrs. Todd and Mrs Moss
is Mrs. Walter Cartwright of

A Fall Placement Flower
Show sponsored by the Lost
Pines Garden Club will be held
Tuesday. November 14, in the
home of the Uev. and Mrs. Wal
ter J Cartwright at 1310 Church
Street.
In a placement show, mem-
ber- only are permitted to ex-
hibit arrangements, and these are
designed for specific placements.
However, horticulture specimans
may be entered by anyone. All
entries must be in by 11 a. m.
in order to be judged.
The show will be open to the
public from I to 6 o'clock Tues
day afternoon.
The Cartwright home was se-
lected as a contemporary set
ting for the show. Heretofore,
thi shows have been in keeping
with the traditional setting at
the home of Mrs. R. P. Perkins.
