"The Yoke

enjoyed-last week. Story of the Israelites under
bgyptian bondage-and -how the God of the Israelites completely
overcame the gods of the Egyptiand and
brought them out of Egypt in spite of intrigue and
hardness of heart, interwoven w-th a strong, wholesome
romanoe which brought out the power of love to make
a proselite of a young man who was aong -the most
ardnt followers of the Egyptian religion. More
readable than'"he 1Cloister and the He.arth because
written in modern Bnglish and muoh shorter also, yet
it doesn't -0oopare with the latter in its ouaulative
impressions and ain its olima, . 4
Yesterday was a good day at ohuroh, tho we had
some little trouble deciding about the meeting
and
whether we should have the Presbyterial tent or.not,
Dr.Mo.Lean insists on the tent and we finally decided
to have it,.after finding that it would be very little
expense to us,tho it will mean a good deal of work
and planning to get the seating material together.
We are praying for a great aeeting, and believe there
will be a speoially rioh outpouring of the. Spirit.
The laxity of the oountry sinoe the end of the war
as sh own .in the danes osaae and other thingsaand the
worldliness of the oil popvisl eioeoall for the beet
efforts of the Christian people, and I think the
vastness of the task is calling out the willingness ol
of the-people better than anything else havl ever
done.
