Herrera, past National President of League of United Latin American Citizens, in response to speech of welcome by Honorable Ken Ritter, Mayor of Beaumont, Texas, to the LULAC Delegates at the 43rd National Convention of LULAC at the Red Carpet Inn on June 30, 1972. Herrera discusses a few historical events in the history of LULAC relating to Beaumont and includes a few personal stories.
