Jesse comes from nowhere but has grown up among the
gnats and mosquitoes of Sherman. He hasn't decided on a
life work yet but is now thinking seriously of becoming an
evangelist. But who knows? He may be destined to be a
"ditch digger." He lives on Grand Avenue. though there is
nothing grand about him. Once he soared to the sublime
heights of a poet and drew from the inspiration of the muses
the wondrous epic "When Pa Comes Home Drunk." He is
Professor Scott's assistant and thinks he is "daddy" in
Drummond Hall. But he is destined to be a failure as a
"chemist" for it makes him sick to chew tobacco.

Bob was plainly shaken off before he ripened, i. e., we had
to rob the cradle to get him. He has been a little peevish
ever since he came here; no doubt it is due to teething. Holland
nursed him through the Freshman year. Thelastthree
years he has been tenderly nurtured by different members of
the class. Bob once aspired to law, but has since decided to
become a truck farmer He is quite a ladies man.: Hfardly.
a day passes that he is not seen standing on tiptoe at the
phone. His diamond ring is about the brightest.thini'about
him.
