Future Teachers Of American Initiate
THE THOMAS JEFFERSON
Chapter of Future Teachers of
America has initiated a new pro-
gram of student teaching this
year. Several members of FTA
visit various elementary schools in
our community every day to learn
the basics of teaching and to get
experience in working with chil-
dren.
The group of about 40 hard- .
working boys and girls planned
and carried out a variety of pro-
lects this year. They organized the
student teaching program, gave a r
tea for the teachers, had a Christ-
mas party, and participated in ,
Career and Awards Night.
These students worked dili-
gently all year to make the year a
complete success.
AIDING IN STUDENT teaching are Patsy Timmerman, Holly Kirkwood, Cheryl Tucker, Vicki
