special from Deer Lodge says that
as a result of the Inquest over the
body of Deputy John Robinson who
was murdered in an attempt lo break
prison Sunday by the convicts fleorge
Hock and William Hayes it devel-
oped from the testimony of other
coin lets that the conspiracy existed
umong five convicts to make a break-
but apparently the nerve of all ex-
cept Rock and Hayes failed at the
crucial moment. Rock and Hayes
are charged with murder by a ver-
dict of the coroner's Jury.

sult of a quarrel about the recent
Democratic primary for lieutenant

called Kemp a liar. Kemp deiiuind-
ed an apology which was refused
and the senator slapped Hyde's face.

Peder Hansen an aged and respect -
ed citizen of the west part of the city
who If ihe circumstances attending
the affair are read correctly planned
and carried out last nisht a strange
and terrible suicide.

Who found this morning by Man-
ager Little al the new ice plant of
the Consumers' Ice & Cold Storage
Co. the body of the old man was
found lying a few feet north from
the new hpiir which runs in from
the Denver tracks to the new Ice
plant. The spot where the body wa'i
lying Is east of t lie Hock Island
bridge over Ihe Denver tracks and l
perhaps fitly feel south of the Den-
ver main track. Til" grade for Ihe
spur is built up about four feet at
that place and the body was lyln;
in the slight excavation alongside
the track.

Of the man's head only a part of
the right side remained and from
his left. shiHilder up his neck face
and skull were saeared off as com
pletely as If by a cleaver lib right
eye hung in part of the socket which
had not been blown away. On the
side of his (heck nnd the part of his
head which had been spared were
wisps of grey beard nnd white hair
which showed his age.
Scattered around the body and
over a radius of of fifty feet. ln bils
of flesh skull and brains were
ghastly evidences of the force of the
blow which crushed the man's head.

SEEKS ANNULMENT

New York March II. -The first
legal step taken today by the coun-
sel for Evelyn N'esblt. Thaw In her
contemplated action to secure the an-
nulment of her marriage to Harry
IC. Thaw her counsel Daniel
O'Reilly said today he had sent a
clerk to Matteawan to serve papers
In the case upon Thaw and that he
had also served papers upon Thaw's
mother. The latter was necessary
as legally speaking Harry Thaw Is
dead. Although counsel for both
Thaw and his wife announce. action
is about to be taken neither would
disclose the cause of the difference
belween the two but It Is stated
that the (rouble began a jear ago
during Thaw's first trial and that a
reconciliation was an Impossibility.

ler who it was found had gone to
another daughter's yesterday to

ped with a kerosene soaked rag near
where the .body was found led to a
fmther search of the house and on
the kitchen table were found the
remains of Ihe man's preparation for
his foilcld. Part of the lag with
which he had wrapped the fuse was
which he had wrapped the fuse
from which he had taken the oil and
a few grains of dynamite which I he
man had spilled In preparing the
cartridge for the explosion were sti i

as expressed in the trial of Harry
Thaw. All experts declared It not
possible for Alio to . be suffering from
this disease as they discovered nc
evidence but It is evident Widde-
combe expects to create doubt In the
minds of the Jury on tills point nnd
make it his principal defense.
