Like the flowers, I had place in your hair the day
we met.
The sweat of the day was different, and my nerves
prevented myself from speaking the
language I know so well.
Our dance of then, so new and fresh is ancient
in the eyes of today, yet that embrace of
two will haunt me like a ghost
And as I moved with you, our waltz picked up a
graceful tempo.
But,
I let you go.
I opened your cage, and I let the wind carry off
your dust, and twist you into clouds.
And I see you still; that flying and fleeting glide
through the sky; just a bird touching the
autumn stars.
Our souls, intertwined for so long, part and flee.
And skim opposite edges of the moon.98
