The pruning demons!ration given
al Joe E. Lar.gent's home, West Vir-
ginia street, Thursday afternoon was
well attended. It was first announced
that the demonstration would be giv-
en at the home of Commissioner Joe
W. Barnes, but was later changed to
Mr. Largent's home. The demonstra-
tion was glvqn by County Agent O. I'J.
Everett. The demonstration dealt
with the pruning of fruit trees, espec-
ially peach trees. Mr. Everett first,
showed how many fruil buds that the
tree put on each season which, if al-
lowed to remain on the tree would
weaken tho tree and consequently
about twenty five per cent of thesi
buds should be pruned off in order
that those left on the tree could de-
velop Into a much larger and better
<iuality of fruit. Also this prttnin
