The Properly Uniformed
Scoutmaster sets the pace for his Troop !
Esprit de Corps !
he wearing of the Official
Uniform by all Volunteer
Leaders, from Members of
the National Council to
Members of the Troop Com-
mittee, will help to build a
new elan, verve, esprit de
corps in Scouting.
The Uniform plays such a
definite part in developing
Scout spirit, Scout activity
and Scout consciousness that
without it, the Volunteer
Leader "misses" the true
meaning and feeling of
Scouting.
Every Volunteer Leader
Should Wear the Official
Boy Scout Uniform
I
T is a matter of record that every Scout and Scout Leader of Troop 12,
Buffalo, is properly and correctly uniformed in the Official Uniform of the
Boy Scouts of America.
This has been accomplished in two ways:
First, by making the Uniform count heavily in Patrol point
contests. Every boy of Troop 12 out of Uniform knew he
was holding back his Patrol.
Second, by having the entire Staff of Officers, from the
Scoutmaster to Patrol Leader, always appear in Uniform.
It would be well for all Scout Leaders to emulate the example of the
Scoutmaster of Troop 12 by starting now to insist that all the Troop
Officers always appear in Uniform at Scout functions and that he, him-
self, will make it a point to set the example.
