8 SCOUTING
★ Twenty-two hundred years of serviee to boyhood have been
recorded on this page and the two which preceded it (April
and June-July issues) —twenty-two hundred years of service by
fifty-five men. A grand record, even were it to end there. However,
many more Scouters became forty-year veterans during the Boy
Scouts of America's Anniversary year in 1950, and we hope all
have filed their applications for veteran status by now, so that we
will be able to publish a complete list in an early issue.
Since June-July SCOUTING went to press the following Scouters
have been verified by the National Registration Service as forty
year veterans, and are here listed with their current positions in
Scouting:
