Undefeated and untied after
four grueling games. Coach Homer
Norton's steam rolling Texas Ag-
gies are riding high atop the South-
; west Conference standings as the
! fifth week of play gets underway
Marking up their first confer*
ence win of the season, the Eagles
last Friday night, rolled over the
I.umber jacks by a score of 27-0.
The game was highlighted by the
ball hawking of Captain Bill Shef-
field, who intercepted three passes
thrown by Stephen F. Austin hurl-
ers. These interceptions came at
crucial moments and enabled the
Eagles to keep the Lumbermen
liack on their heels for the greater
part of the game.
The Eagles and Lumberjacks
played on almost even terms for
the first quarter, but T. C. counted
early in the second period, twice
in the third and once more in the
fourth quarter the North Texan*
scored.
First Blood
The first six points for the Den-
ton team came after the stage
had been set by Clayton, who hurl-
i-d u p#*s to Covin, and the ball
was downed on the Nacogdoches
10-yard stripe. Stewart then pow-
erhoused the ball for nine yards
in thi ec plays and Ashton shipped
across for the touchdown on the
fourth. Formagus kicked the extra
point.
The second touchdown came in
the third quarter. After Stewart
handed the ball off to Clayton on
a reverse, Clayton dropped back
and heaved a 20-yard pass to
Hicks, who ran the remaining dis-
tance for the counter. Formagus
again kicked the extra point.
Third Counter
The third touchdown came in
this same period after two first
downs by the Eagles had moved
(the ball to the Nacogdoches five
yard line. From the five Wood
went wide around right end to
score. Formagus converted.
In the fourth period the Eagles
took the ball on their own 30 after
a Lumberjack threat had faded
and on the first play Clayton threw
at the hands of a stubborn Pitt u> Williams; the Eagle flash sped
