HARDIN—COLLINS
Miss Mona Sue Hardin and
Shril Collins were united in mar-
riage with a double ring cere-
mony at 9:00 p.m., December 24,
in Shreveport, La.
Mrs. Collins is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Webb Solmon of
Rusk and Mr. Collins is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Collins of
Beulah.
Mrs. Jewel Hendrick was the
matron of honor and Johnny Hen-
drick served as best man.
Mrs. Collins wore a beige suit
with matching brown accessories.
Her corsage was of pink carna-
tions.
Mrs. Hendrick, the matron of
honor, wore a gray dress, with
black accessories. Her corsage was
of pink carnation also.
The newlyweds will make their
home in Rusk.

Mrs. Ila Pearson of Sheridan,
formerly of Rusk, and Diamond
Ash of Henderson were married
at the Felton Banks home at nine
Friday night, December 23. Rev.
L. W. Nichols read the double ring
ceremony before relatives and
close friends. White carnations
and greenery decorated the liv-
ing room.
The bride wore a navy blue suit
with matching accessories. Her
corsage was white gardenias.
Mrs. W. W. Finley played the
traditioal nuptial music.
An informal reception was held
following the ceremony. The table
was laid with a cutwork linen
cloth. The centerpiece of Christ-
inas foliage was flanked by lighted
tapers in crystal holders. Match-
ing tapers were on the buffet. Mrs.
Nichols poured punch. She was as-
sisted in the dining room by Mrs.
Bryan Stovall and Mrs. Frank
Coupland.
After a short trip to San An-
tonio Mr. and Mrs. Ash will be
at home in Henderson.
Out-of-town guests included Mr.
and Mrs. Jewel Ash of Mt. Pleas-
ant, and Frank Overton and Mrs.
Knox Overton of Frankston.
LIBRARY STUDY CLUB
The Library Study Club met at
the Baptist Church December 8,
with 18 present. Mrs. Pearl Clark
reviewed the book, "Root out of
Dry Ground" which was enjoyed
by all.
The next meeting will be Jan-
uary 12 at the home of Miss Bob
Leake.

! Christmas tree. "42" was the di-
j version for the afternoon.
Mrs. Belle Singletary very

frehments were served.

RUSK THALIAN CLUB
The Rusk Thalian Club met
December 13th at the home of
Mrs. V. J. Long. Hostesses were
Mrs. Harry Tibbals, Mrs. Fred
Lunsford and Mrs. Charles Long.
Mrs. Vernon Grogan was named
new president of the club.
Mrs. Edwin Campbell, the di-
rector for the afternoon, intro-
duced Mrs. M. H. Campbell, who
told a lovely Christmas story by
Mrs. T. Lowry, a Texas author of
children's books.
Members present were: Mes-
dames C. J. Harkins, Burnell Sto-
vall, Cullen Sherman, J. T. Roach,
Gladstone Thompson, Clifford
