FOURTH WEEK: SCIENCE FAIR
The Science Fair is a troop event aimed
at developing Scouts' interest in science
merit badges and showing families and
friends the variety available in Scouting.
Thefairis simply exhibits of projects Scouts
completed to earn science badges.
It can be held at any time of year, but
is especially approriate in the fall when
new members are being recruited, and
during February, Scouting's anniversary
celebration month, when many troops
stage public exhibits of Scouting.
As a public event, it's also a good time
to hold a formal court of honor. The fair
might also be given in a school, at a shop-
ping center or at a Scout show.
Troop leaders' council meets this week
to plan details for next month.
