The Board of Aldermen considered a special Resolution which must
be approved by the governing body. Motion was made by alderman
James Kuhn, seconded by Alderman David Pitts, to approve the
following Resolution. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLARENDON, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A CONTRACT AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR
THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
CLARENDON AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
AFFAIRS, CONTRACT NUMBER 700251.
WHEREAS, the City of Clarendon entered into a contract with the
Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to make
improvements to the water system; and
WHEREAS, additional contract funds are available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clarendon desires to extend water service to
more homes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIHE CITY OF
CLARENDON, TEXAS:
1. The City Council authorizes a contract amendment request
to be submitted to the Texas Department of Housing and
Community Affairs for the following proposed activities:
To install approximately 1,660 linear feet of six inch
(6") PVC water line along Montgomery Street and Gorst
Street.
2. The City Council directs and authorizes the Mayor to
execute al necessary documents as may be required to
initiate and process this contract amendment request.
PASSES AND APPROVED at a meeting of the City Council of the City
of Clarendon, Texas on the 8th day of October, 1991.

The Board of Aldermen of the City of Clarendon approved an
Affirmative Action Plan and is effective January 15, 1991.
Motion was made by Alderman Steve Smith, seconded by Alderman
David Pitts, to approve the Affirmative Action Plan.
As a result of the Affirmative Action Plan, motion was made by
Alderman Steve Smith, seconded by Alderman McKinley Smith, to
adopt the following Affirmative Action Resolution. Motion carried.

OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLARENDON, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING
AN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN FOR TEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS.
WHEREAS, The City Council of Clarendon, Texas has received funds
from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs; and
WHEREAS, in keeping with policy and procedures consistent with
HUD and applicable state statutes governing equal apportunity and
nondiscrimination for Community Development Program, the City of
Clarendon desires to adopt a plan for affirmative action; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is concerned with efficient execution
of the Community Development Project under its jurisdiction in
