COWBOYS X
SOCCER
2004-2005 HSU Men's Soccer
The Cowboys soccer team once
again qualified for the American
Southwest Conference Tournament
and won its opening round game
against Schreiner. The Cowboys,
playing with a very young team, were
one of only two teams in the conference
to notch at least a tie against
conference champion UT-Dallas.
The highlight of the season came
in their last three games, all of which
HSU needed to win in order to
qualify for the conference
tournament. HSU won all three
games on the road, including an
exciting 2-1 win over cross-town
rival McMurry. HSU finished their
season with an 11-7-2 record.
Freshman midfielder Daniel Arnold
scored six goals on the season for the
Cowboys this year. That bodes well for
the next three years.
