But 2001 showed the Wildcats
know how to persevere and succeed
through adversity and a tough schedule.
Even though the ACU football
team did not meet all the expectations
of its fans - or itself for that matter
the effort of the 2001 Wildcats cannot
be measured by wins and losses.
True ACU fans won't soon forget
the outstanding performances of an
awesome linebacker from Irving, a
walk-on punter from Pearl, Miss., and
a transfer running back from Sam
Houston State who truly showed how
to make the most of a second chance.
That's the testimony of team truly
moving in the right direction.
