This issue summarizes the winter of 1966-67
and marks a time of great progress for the school of
law. Behind the groundbreaking for the new law
center reported in this issue stretches a development
timetable of impressive length. A monument to
man's intellect is seldom as much the product of the
labor of construction as it is the product of the
energy of man's imagination. This law center is such
a product. Inertia resists the materialization of
imagination, but the rising law center is physical
substantiation of the energy of excellence at St.
Mary's University.
The Editor announces the appointment of Karl
Rubinstein as associate editor of the Barrister News.
His prior experience in journalism should be of im-
mediate benefit to the overall progress of this
publication.
This issue introduces a page called "Develop-
ment Corner" whereon progress of the law center
will be pictorially reported in each issue pending
completion of the structures.
