COURSES OF INSTRUCTION
DEPARTMENT OF BIBLE
311.-Old Testament History. This course surveys the entire Old
Testament.
312.-New Testament History. A telescopic view of the New
Testament.
321.-The Life of Jesus the Christ. An intensive study of the recorded
facts of His life with the social, civil and moral backgrounds
that aid in understanding it.
322.-The Teaching of Jesus and Apostolic History. A comprehensive
study of the ethical principles taught by Jesus, and the beginning
and spread of the Christian religion.
360.-Teaching God's Word. This is really a course in "How to
Teach." It is intended, however, to be inspirational as well as informational.
A general knowledge of the Bible and of "The Art of
Teaching" is necessary for one to receive the most profit from the
course.
273.-The Law and the Gospel. Study of the books of Galatians
and Hebrews to learn the superiority of the New Covenant over the
Old. Judaism vs. Christianity. Identical to former 373.
370.-Bible vs. Modernism. Detailed study of various phases of infidelity
and their refutation.
374.-Paganism vs. Christianity. A study of Paul's Prison Epistles
and the two Corinthian Letters.
390.-The Bible and Archaeology. A survey of the monuments and
inscriptions of Assyria, Babylonia, Egypt, and Palestine which have
been recently discovered and translated with especial stress on their
testimony to the integrity of the Bible.
DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
301.-Shorthand and Typewriting. Mastery of principles of Gregg
Shorthand and Typewriting. Three discussion periods and three
laboratory hours.
302.-Shorthand and Typewriting (Continued). Continuation of
301.
331.-Principles of Accounting. Uses of accounting; interpretation
of financial statements; sole ownership; controlling accounts;
accruals and deferred items, practice set.
385.-Business Law (Second Course). Case studies of the legal
aspects of business transactions; contracts, sales, negotiable instruments.
Prerequisites: Six semester hours of advanced work in Business
Administration.
