Those who desire a teacher's certificate at the end of the sophomore year

Not later than the beginning of his junior year, the student should choose
his major subject. His major professor then becomes his adviser and approves
all of his courses. He should, in consultation with his adviser, plan his work
so that he will meet the following requirements for graduation.
If a student is deficient in English he should place this subject on his
schedule for extra work. The dean reserves the right, upon the recommendation
of any instructor, to prescribe additional work in English for any student.
The dean acts as an adviser to all freshmen and sophomore students, but
after the choice of his major is made each student takes the instructor in
charge of his major subject as his adviser. No work should be taken by a
student without consulting his adviser.
