The A Club-Membership in the A Club is based entirely on
merit. Only those students who win honors for A. C. C. in athletics,
forensic or oth e student activities and are of high moral standing may
become members of the club. A failure to live up to these ideals in
after life forfeits the membership and the individual will be required
to return the letter.
The W Club.--The "Worthy Women" is a sister organization of
the A Club. During the session of 1919-'20 Mrs. Sewell chose several
girls as the nucleus of the club. The purpose of the club is to develop
ideal college women and its motto is "A worthy woman who can find,
for her price is far above rubies?"
The C Club.-All athletes who win letters are members of the C
club.
The Dramatic Club.-This club meets each week under the direction
of the teachers of Speech Arts. Short plays and other numbers
are given.
The Press Club.-Students evidencing marked ability and interest
in college journalism are elected to membership in the Press Club.
The staff of The Optimist is elected from its members.
The Pickwicians.-A new organization for development in creative
writing in poetry, in essay, in short story.
Musical Organizations.-The musical organizations, open to all who
can qualify, are: Choral Club, Glee Club, Acapella Chorus, Orchestra,
and Band.
