16 ABILE NE CHRISTI AN COLLEGE
The use of alcoholic drinks, cards, profanity, vulgarity, and other such
vices will not be tolerated on the campus. If you have been indulging
in these and are not willing to leave them off, do not come to Abilene
Christian College.
Attending balls, card parties, pool rooms, or other places of amusement
that are calculated to interfere with studious habits and good morals, is
prohibited.
Hazing in all forms is prohibited.
Students will not be permitted to use lamps above 100 watt.
All accounts must be adjusted before a student is permitted to take the
final examinations.
Any student may be asked to leave without having committed a special
offense, provided that in the judgment of the committee on discipline he is
out of harmony with the interests of the school -*nd student life.
The faculty reserves the right to make any other regulations deemed
necessary for the well-being of the students and the interest of the college.
Clubs and Other Student Organizations.-Clubs and societies must not
be organized without the permission of the faculty committee on student
organizations. At the beginning of each long session each club must submit
a list of its members, and must place on file with the faculty committee

of the College that retains in its membership students that fail to make
passing grades in two-thirds of their school work, or that elects to office

be tolerated at all. No student who uses tobacco will be permitted to represent
the College in any public way. This means that such student cannot
represent the College in any music club, public speaking contest, or any
athletic team, or hold office on any college publication.

in classes is absolutely necessary and therefore required. Absences should be
few; when entirely necessary they may be excused if a properly signed excuse
is presented to the instructor not later than the second class after the absences
occurred. After that time they must be counted as unexcused. Three
unexcused absences automatically drop a student from the class roll. To be
reinstated the student must take a special examination after paying the Bursar
a fee of $1.50 for a permit to take it. Three tardies count as one absence.
Absences, even though excused, are marked F until the student has made
up for the instructor the work missed (without need of special fee, however).
Instructors are not permitted to grant a passing grade to students having ab
