the trusts, Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and the World War.

with the history of Uruguay and Paraguay, Mexico, Central

traces the relations of the Latin-American countries with the

396.-The Old Regime and the French Revolution. A study
of the political, social, and economic conditions of the pre-revolutionary
Europe and the rise of public opinion and its expression
in the French Revolution. Offered in 1931-32. Fall term.
397.-History of Germany. This is a brief survey of Germany
since 1740. The development of the Empire is traced and
the ideals and institutions are studied. Special emphasis is
placed on her part in the World War. Offered in 1931-32. Winter

of World Politics, nationalism, imperialism, and internationalism.
The causes of the different wars and difficulties between
the different nations are studied, together with an anaylsis of the
