360-Teaching God's Word.
This is really a course in "How to Teach." It is intended, however,
to be inspirational as well as informational. A general
knowledge of the Bible and of "The Art of Teaching" is
necessary for one to receive the most profit from the course.
381-History of Christian Education.
A historical survey of Christian education, beginning with the
early church and emphasizing the history of religious education
in the United States.

The courses offered by the English Department are designed
not only to prepare the English major to teach English in the
public schools, but also to develop students of other departments
in accurate oral and written self-expression, and in appreciation
of the best and noblest in literature.
English 311 and 312 are prerequisite to all other courses in
English, and must be taken in the freshman year. English 321 and
322 are prerequisite to all other courses in English literature.
Major Requirements-Eighteen hours of advanced English,
including English 351, 352, 361, and 362. Six hours of advanced
English should be taken in senior year.
Minor Requirements-Eighteen hours, six of which are advanced,
in a foreign language, history, speech, music, or Bible. Twelve
hours in history and six hours in speech may be substituted for
eighteen hours of either one. English 351 and 352 are required for
those who expect to use English as a minor for majors in other
departments.

Bible 311, 312 Foreign Language-6 hours
History 313, 314 Science or Mathematics-6 hours S

Sophomore Year
English 321, 322 Physical Education-2 hours
Bible 321, 322 Foreign Language-6 hours
History 320 or 321, 322 Science or Mathmatics-6 hours
or
Speech 323, 324 or 325, 328
Junior and Senior Years
English 351, 352 and 361, 362 are the required courses. English
371 or 372 is recommended as three of the addition six advanced
