391.--The High School Curriculum.
A study of the principles of curriculum construction, the practical
application of these principles to the development of a curriculum
for the secondary school. Emphasis is placed upon recent
trends.
490.-Observation and Practice in High School.
Principles of teaching, observation of class work, construction pf
lesson plans and units of work, teaching under supervision of
critic teacher in the Demonstration School.
Students who take Education 490 must have credit for a minimum
of eighteen semester hours in the subject in which they do their
practice teaching.
DIVISION OF ADMINISTRATION
361.-State School Administration.
A study of the development of the various units for school administration,
with special and detailed study of the state as the unit.
362.-Public School Administration.
A study of organization and administration of the city school
system.
363.-High School Administration.
A study of the high school from the standpoint of its administration.265.-Elementary School Supervision.
A study of problems involved in the supervision of elementary
school subjects.
368.-Introduction to Tests and Measurements.
A study of standardized and non-standardized tests that may be
used in classroom instruction.
374.-Curriculum Building.
A general course in curriculum construction. The following
phases will be considered: survey of related factors, planning
the curriculum, construction of courses of study, installation and
evaluation.
DIVISION OF PSYCHOLOGY AND PHILOSOPHY
320.-General Psychology.
A study of mental life which gives a general view of mental
activity in its various aspects.
352.-Adolescent Psychology.
