Payment of Accounts
Regular terms of payment of tuition, fees, board and room are cash
in advance for the semester for the full amount. If paid in installments,
the first installment of not less than one-fourth must be paid on registration
day before completion of registration. Accounts paid on installments will
be subject to 5/6 of 1% monthly interest (10% annually) on the unpaid
balance. The interest charged will be based on the previous balance less
the payments made that month. Installment payments will be due on the
following dates:
FALL SEMESTER SPRING SEMESTER
Registration Day Registration Day
October 1 February 15
November 1 March 15
December 1 April 15
If payments must be made in any other way than the above, special
arrangements should be made in advance of registration with the auditor
of student accounts.
Charges for college expenses are made on the semester basis. Checks
should be made payable to Abilene Christian College.
You will not be permitted to take examinations or to graduate from
the college until you make satisfactory settlement of all your financial
accounts. Transcripts to other schools cannot be released until all accounts
are paid in full. (Exception is made for government loans if they are not
past due.)
No refunds on tuition or fees are made for absences.
You will not be given credit until accounts are paid in full or satisfactory
arrangements are made with the Business Office.
Payment for work is made by credit to your account until the semester
bill is paid in full. No cash can be drawn for work until all accounts,
notes, and loans are paid.
The ACC Bookstore is the supply store for students. It is operated
on a cash basis in order to give you the lowest possible prices.
Deadlines for settling accounts are set at two weeks before the end
of long session semesters and one week before the end of summer terms.
Accounts must be settled before these dates to obtain clearance for examinations.A school month is four weeks, a semester is 16 weeks, and a school
year 32 weeks. Charges are made on the basis of these periods and not
on the basis of calendar months.
