History and
Political Science
The purpose of the Department of History and Political Science is to help
explain the present state of the world, to afford clues to the future, and to prepare
one for citizenship. The department aims to give an understanding of various
races and groups of mankind by picturing their life during various periods of
time. It intends to inform students and stimulate their thought about political
institutions, theory, and behavior in order that they may better discharge their
duties as Christian citizens.
Offerings in History are adequate for a minor in that area; Political Science
